This Privacy Policy explains how Sita Infobytes (“we”, “us”, “our”), the company behind Klosyo, collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit klosyo.com, request a demo, subscribe to updates or contact us. We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and other applicable Indian laws.
1. Who we are
Klosyo is a product of Sita Infobytes, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. For the personal data described in this policy, Sita Infobytes is the Data Fiduciary.

2. Personal data we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, company name and the contents of your message when you fill in the Book a Demo form, email us or message us on WhatsApp.
- Newsletter subscriptions: your email address if you subscribe to our updates.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited and similar data collected automatically through server logs and cookies needed to run and secure the website.
We do not ask website visitors for sensitive data such as Aadhaar numbers, PAN, bank details or financial documents. Please do not send such information through the contact form.
3. How we use your data
- To respond to your enquiry and schedule and conduct product demonstrations.
- To send product updates or newsletters, only if you have subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- To operate, maintain, secure and improve the website.
- To meet legal, regulatory and tax obligations.
We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit a form or subscribe, or for other legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Borrower data processed for our clients
When NBFCs and other lenders use the Klosyo platform, we may process their borrowers’ personal data (such as KYC documents and payment reminders) on their behalf. In those cases the lender is the Data Fiduciary and Sita Infobytes acts as a Data Processor under a written agreement with the lender. Borrowers should contact their lender to exercise their rights over that data. This policy covers only data collected through this website and our direct communications.
5. Sharing your data
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed for the purposes above. These include our website hosting and email providers (such as Hostinger) and messaging services (such as WhatsApp) when you choose to contact us there. These providers are required to protect your data. We may also disclose data where required by law or by a court or government authority.
Some service providers may store data on servers outside India. Where this happens, we transfer data only as permitted under the DPDP Act and rules notified by the Government of India.
6. Cookies
The website uses essential cookies needed for it to work, such as for security, caching and form submission. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may then not work properly.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry and demo request data for as long as needed to respond to you and manage any resulting business relationship, and in any case no longer than 3 years after our last contact unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. We then delete or anonymise the data.
8. How we protect your data
We use reasonable security safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access controls and reputable hosting providers, to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected individuals as required by law.
9. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- ask us to correct, complete, update or erase your personal data;
- withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out);
- nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity; and
- have your grievances addressed by us.
